Globalisation has changed so many things in the world arena that many places (countries, cities, regions...) have even lost their own identity, their brand.
We must keep in mind that brands are one of the main assets of a place.

Leadership is important in so-called good times and bad, or high levies or low. a public-private-partnership with top-shelf retail leadership is key, in my opinion. What do you think?

There were a few barbs about the name early on, but it seems to have caught on!
From a marketing point of view, Evocities just won an IABC Gold Quill Award for Excellence in Media Relations which we are very excited about.

Nathan, that's great to hear - so good to have empirical evidence that something is working.

A quick disclaimer - I work on the Evocities campaign.
I can tell you that it is certainly resonating even better than we had hoped. Research undertaken prior to the campaign indicated it would take people around 12 months to make the decision to relocate.
Only eight months in, around 200 people have moved to one of the seven cities and hundreds more have said they will or are likely to move in the next 12 months.
I think the campaign has definitely hit a nerve for many looking to escape the capital cities. Obviously it isn't for everyone, but so far it seems people are loving it!
